Vivo v11 Goes Official As Vivo X21s In China With Snapdragon 660 and under-display fingerprint sensor

The Vivo X21s (also known as Vivo v11 or Vivo v11 Pro in India) has been launched in China. The Vivo X21s also has the same identical specifications as the Vivo v11 (Vivo v11 Pro in India) sporting the same 6GB of RAM, Snapdragon 660 chipset, Under-display fingerprint sensor and a 3,400mAh battery capacity.

Design And Display

Vivo x21s has a massive 6.41-inch Super AMOLED display with 1080 x 2340 Screen Resolution and a 402 pixel per inch density. Aspect ratio stands tall at 19:9 with a small water drop notch to house the single front-facing camera. The body of the device is made up of glass with a plastic frame all around. At the back of the device are dual rear cameras at the top left side with a LED flash underneath.

Vivo X21s design

Not fingerprint sensor at the back because it is placed underneath the screen. Unlike the Vivo v11, the X21s comes in two colours – starry night and Millenium Powder. The latter is a mixture of gold, pink and aqua blue. The device still weighs 156 grams and measures at 7.9mm thickness. Dual Nano SIM slot is on board with a dedicated MicroSD card slot.

Hardware and Software

Outdated albeit capable Snapdragon 660 drives this device with an octa-core processor and a clock speed of 2.2GHz. Adreno 512 GPU takes care of gaming while the 6GB of RAM takes care of multitasking through apps. Two storage options of 64GB and 128GB are available with a dedicated MicroSD slot for expansion of storage of up to 256GB. Vivo’s Funtouch OS 4.5 based on Android 8.1 Oreo is what you get when booted up. However, there are no Google services on this variant.

Camera, Battery & Connectivity

At the back of the device is a dual 12MP + 5MP camera with f/1.8 and f/2.4 aperture respectively and an LED Flash just Underneath the cameras. The camera is capable of recording 4k videos at 30fps. The 25MP front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture placed in the water drop notch up top can only record 1080p videos at 30fps.

A 3,400mAh battery is powering the device. Vivo x21s also has Bluetooth 5.0, 4G LTE, Fingerprint Senor (Under-display), WiFi, WiFi Direct, WiFi Hotspot and a Micro USB 2.0 port with USB On The Go.

Vivo X21s Price And Availability

Vivo X21s costs CNY2,498 in China which is about $360/€320 and is already available and up for sale on Vivo’s official website and all major offline smartphone retailers in China.
