Vivo X27 is official with 48MP Rear camera & 16MP Pop-up selfie Shooter

The much-awaited Vivo X27 has finally arrived and it boasts a massive 48MP rear shooter with a mechanized pop-up selfie camera. The device is an upgrade to the Vivo V15 Pro. It came with a far more bigger memory configuration as well.

Now, let’s look at the differences between the two phones.

Similarities and Differences between Vivo V15 Pro and Vivo X27

Both phones came with 6.3-inch Super AMOLED screen with 1080-pixel resolution. Both of them also came with a built-in fingerprint scanner with no notches or holes. The rear of both devices houses a triple camera setup with a 48MP Quad Bayer sensor in the main module. And it defaults to 12MP mode – that’s how the Quad Bayer cameras are used. That’s the same feature with the V15 Pro. So, there are no changes here.

Another thing we looked at is the 120º ultra-wide-angle camera – which is a 13MP shooter. With that, the X27 has an edge over its siblings which came with an 8MP 120º camera. Both phones also have a 5MP depth sensor. Users can stack 12 – 16 photos so as to reduce noise and produce a clear image in the dark. This can be achieved by using the night mode which the camera came with.

Another downtown about the X27 is the selfie camera. The new Vivo X27 came with a 16MP sensor. That is a downgrade from the 32MP that accompanied the V15 Pro. Both phones came with motorized pop-up cameras but the one that came with the X27 is slower as it needs 0.68 seconds to extend. This is far slower when compared to the 0.46 second on the V15 Pro.

Looking at the memory configuration, the X27 came with bigger memory. It has 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. That’s twice the memory found on the V15 Pro. The Vivo X27 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 chipset. while the V15 Pro is powered by the SD 675 which has a much faster CPU but a slower GPU.

A vapor chamber accompanies the X27 so as to cool the chipset. With this, there might be a slight difference in the performance of both phones. It runs on Android 9 pie on top of Funtouch OS 9 and that is what you get out of the box in the new X27.

Another upgrade is on the battery capacity. The X27 came with 4,000mAh which is a bit bigger than the 3,700mAh seen in the V15 Pro. But both came with 18W fast charging.

For the price, the Vivo X27 will be sold for CYN 3,600 ($535/€470). That seems to be premium when compared with the price of the Vivo V15 which stood at $345/€305. Also, remember that both phones might not likely be available in the same region.
