Less than six months after the release of the Xiaomi Mi 11, the company pays a visit to its predecessor series. The Mi 10 series gets a new addition in China called the “Xiaomi Mi 10S”.
The new high-end smartphone debuts with a 90Hz curved AMOLED display that measures 6.67″ in size. The display features an HDR10+ and has a fingerprint reader underneath it. Protecting the display from break or crack is the Corning Gorilla Glass 5.
At the top left corner of the display is a punch-hole cutout that houses a 20MP camera for selfies. The quad rear camera module is headlined by a Samsung 1/1.33″ 108MP sensor with OIS. The other three sensors include an 8MP ultrawide, a 2MP macro sensor and a 2MP depth sensor.
Powering the Mi 10S is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chipset that is paired with 8/12GB of RAM. It uses a UFS 3.0 storage of 128/256GB. On the software end, the phone runs on Android 11 with MiUI 12. The Mi 10S has a dual speaker setup courtesy of Harman Kardon. According to the popular smartphone rating website, DxOMark, the setup is the best they have tested to date. So you can expect the very best in terms of audio quality.
Battery-wise, the Xiaomi phone packs a non-removable 4,780 mAh capacity. It supports a 33W fast wired charging, a 30W wireless charging and a 10W reverse wireless charging.
The Xiaomi Mi 10S will be available for purchase in White, Blue and Black body colours. First sales are scheduled for March 12 in China with early buyers getting a free 30W wireless charger. It has just two memory configuration – 8/128GB (CNY 3,299/$506) and 12/256GB (CNY 3,799/$583).
