According to a report from “Chinese leaker”, a Xiaomi smartphone with a 200W fast charging speed is expected to debut in the second half of 2021. This news comes weeks after an unverified report floating around the tech industry stated that a smartphone with 200W charging is underway.
This Chinese report claims that the new Xiaomi phone is still not ready to launch and is being worked on. The phone doesn’t have the same level of performance as the Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra. This could be one of the reasons why the company is delaying its release. The Mi 10 Ultra is one of the best flagship product from the company at the moment.
Honestly, Xiaomi working on a 200W charging smartphone shouldn’t surprise anyone. The company released the Mi 11 smartphone back in December 2020 and it features a 115W charging. Even the Mi 10 Extreme Commemorative Edition also launched last year has a 180W charging.
Now it remained to seen which Xiaomi phone will feature this 200W charging. The Mi 11 phone doesn’t have a Pro or Ultra variant yet, so that will be my best bet for now. Also, we still don’t know when exactly in 2021, the phone will launch or if at all 2021 is even feasible. So stay tuned.
