Design and Display
The Mi Band 4 comes in a very simple package. You get the Main band itself, the charging dock and a manual in the box.

To get started using the Mi Band 4 for the first time, you will have to download the Mi Fit app on the app store to your phone and create an account there
Then, go ahead to activate your phone Bluetooth to initiate the pairing process. Once the device is connected, you can change the watch face and do other kinds of stuff from the app.
The Display
The Mi Band 4 maintains the OLED technology of its predecessors but with a significant upgrade. Last year’s Mi Band 3 features a 0.78 inch OLED display with 80 x 128 pixels resolution. But this year, Xiaomi takes it a step further, featuring a 0.98 inch AMOLED display with 120 x 240 pixels resolution on the Mi Band 4. Data can easily be viewed on the Mi Band 4 which is critical in fitness smartwatches.
For personalization, the Mi Band 4 comes with 77 colourful dial themes and eight different brands. The wrist band measures 18mm and it’s removable as we have seen on other Mi Bands.
The Mi Band 4 comes with a 5ATM water-resistant rating. This means you can take the smartwatch to a pool of water measuring 50 metres depth. Also, the device can track your swimming activity in a pool. It won’t be able to track your activity on open water like a beach. There are Black, Brown, Blue, Pink and Orange body colours to choose from.

One of the things that set the Mi Band 4 apart from many other feature-laden smartwatches available is its 5ATM water-resistant rating. It can withstand pressures equivalent to a depth of 50 meters, making it a charm when being exposed in rain, splashing, accidental submersion, showering, surface, swimming.
Notification Display & Reject Phone Calls

Tracking Features
Inside the Mi Band 4 are sensors used for typical activity tracking. They are a 3-axis gyroscope and accelerometer motion sensors, a PPG optical heart rate sensor and a proximity sensor. You can sync your data to the Mi Fit companion smartphone app by using the Bluetooth.
Automatic sleep monitoring is also available which works 24/7 day and night. Since there is no GPS on the Mi Band 4, the smartwatch relies on the motion sensors to track metrics like pace and distance.
The device can track different workout modes such as walking, outdoor and treadmill running, cycling, swimming e.t.c. The smartwatch is programmed to track various swimming strokes like freestyle, butterfly, backstroke and breaststroke.
General Features
The Mi Band 4 is compatible with both iOS 9 or above and Android 4.4 or above operating devices. For the Chinese market, the smartwatch comes with a built-in microphone and NFC.
