Xiaomi Redmi 5A is now available in India and in more countries. The new device which was launched in India and was nicknamed ‘Desh Ka Smartphone’. Redmi 5A comes with the latest Xiaomi OS the MIUI 9. Below is our Redmi 5A Specs review.
Xiaomi Redmi 5A DESIGN
It sports an overall aluminium look and a front glass. The design isn’t too sleek, but it sure looks like the iPhone 6. The Redmi 5A has curved edges and is very portable to hold.
For a midrange device, the design is cool, it measures 8.4mm slim and weighs 137g. Redmi 5A is available in Gold, Dark Gray, Rose Gold and Blue.
Xiaomi Redmi 5A DISPLAY
The 5-inch smartphone sports an IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen, with a screen resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. Xiaomi achieved a 69.1% screen-to-body ratio on the device and it boasts of 296 ppi density. Experience stunning visuals with such pixel per inch density on the smaller screen.
HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE
Under the hood is a Qualcomm MSM8917 Snapdragon 425 chipset clocking at 1.4 GHz Cortex-A53 Quad-core processor. Adreno 308 graphics processing unit should handle all your gaming experience.
Xiaomi released two variants in terms of RAM and internal storage. There’s one with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage, and another with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. The internal storage on both variants can also be upgradeable to 256GB with microSD. Xiaomi Redmi 5A runs on Android 7.1.2 Nougat OS with MIUI 9 skin.

At the back, there’s a 13MP camera with a f/2.2 aperture for all your photography needs. The camera features phase detection autofocus, LED flash, Geo-tagging, touch focus, face/smile detection, HDR and panorama.
