XIAOMI REDMI 6 DESIGN
The device was built with aluminium alloy just like its predecessor, the back is non-removable with the SIM tray sitting pretty by the left side. As expected, it sports dual antenna lines which adds to the beauty of the device. There’s a fingerprint scanner to compliment with the Face ID feature.
At the top left corner, we can see one of the highlights of the device, which is the dual shooters. The cameras because are in a horizontal position, giving that sleek vibe. It’s also quite slim, measuring just 8.3 mm in thickness and weighing 146g overall. It’ll be available in Grey, Blue, Gold, Rose Gold.
XIAOMI REDMI 6 DISPLAY
Just like the Redmi 5 and 5 Plus, the Redmi 6 features an 18:9 aspect ratio screen and still gives you the full view experience. Although I feel the bezels could’ve been reduced further, they are still as tick as they were on the Redmi 5.
The Redmi 6 is built around a small 5.45-inch HD+ IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen. This has a resolution of 720 x 1440 pixels and 295 pixels per inch density, this should bring out the details on the screen very well. Furthermore, the screen got up to 72.7%.
HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE
The smartphone gets its features from the Mediatek MT6762 Helio P22 chip underneath. The chipset was built on a 12nm process technology, so power efficiency should be great. The Octa-core processor on this chip clocks at a fast speed of 2.0GHz, while the PowerVR GE8320 graphics processor handles graphics.
The standard version has 3GB of RAM for multitasking and 32GB storage space for storing files. There’s an expensive variant that has 4GB of RAM for multitasking of all your heavy apps and 64GB storage space ready to accommodate all files and apps.
