Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi will be launching the Redmi Note 9s in Nigeria this month. This is according to the Xiaomi Nigeria’s official Facebook page, where they posted the image.
From the post, it was revealed that the launch event will be done online, which is obviously due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic which was why TECNO also held its Camon 15 Series launch online. The event date is set for April 29, 2020, which is just two days from today. The online event starts at 2:00 PM.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9s is a mid-range device built around a 6.67-inch IPS LCD panel. The display features a 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution, 20:9 aspect ratio, and 395 PPI density. A punch-hole is carved at the top of the display which houses a 16MP f/2.5 selfie camera.
At the back of the Note 9s, is a camera module consisting of a 48MP f/1.8 main lens, an 8MP f/2.2 ultrawide lens, 5MP f/2.4 macro camera and a 2MP f/2.4 depth lens.
The Snapdragon 720G chipset is paired with a 4GB or 6GB and 64GB or 128GB UFS 2.1 storage. Running inside the Redmi Note 9s is MIUI 11 skin based on Android 10 operating software. Battery-wise, the Redmi phone comes with a non-removable Li-Po 5,020 mAh battery capacity and supports 18W wired fast charging.
No information yet as regards to the versions the Nigerian market will be getting. However, the smartphone has three colour options; Interstellar Grey, Glacier White and Aurora Blue.
