Chinese phone maker Xiaomi has officially launched the Redmi Note 9s in Nigeria. The smartphone was unveiled in an online event yesterday and is going to be available from mid-May 2020.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9s is built around a bezel-less 6.67-inch Dot-Display which features FHD+ resolution. The fingerprint reader is located on the right-hand side of the phone.
The punch-hole featured in its display houses a 16MP selfie camera. While at the back is an AI quad-camera module. It consists of a 48MP main lens with f/1.8 aperture, an 8MP ultrawide angle lens with f/2.2 aperture, a 5MP macro camera with f/2.4 aperture and a 2MP depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. The camera is capable of shooting 4K resolution video at 30 frames per second.
Under the hood is the Snapdragon 720G which is built on the 7nm process. The chipset is paired with either a 4GB/64GB or 6GB/128GB memory configuration. As expected, the Redmi phone runs on MIUI 11 skin based on Android 10 OS. There is no word yet if the device will get an update for the latest MIUI 12, which is currently trending.
The Redmi Note 9s packs a gigantic 5,020 mAh battery capacity and supports an 18W fast wired charging. The device is available in Aurora Blue, Interstellar Gray and Glacier White stunning body colours. The vanilla 4GB/64GB model costs N78,900 while the 6GB/128GB goes for N88,900. Official sales start in mid-May.
