According to the latest smartphone sales reports released for the fourth quarter of 2016 by a research company canalys, Apple has fallen to fifth position in China smartphone market losing the 4th place position it held last year to Xiaomi.
There were over 131.6 million units of smartphones shipped in the fourth quarters in China which accounted for nearly third of worldwide shipments while the overall shipments for the year was 476.7 million units, an increment of 11.4 percent from 2015.
Huawei is the most popular mobile phone in china with 76.2 million units of smartphones shipment in 2016 while Oppo is second with 73.2 million units. Below are the top 5 most popular mobile phone brands in China according their sales volume for 2016.

Lol. Samsung is nowhere on the list. I think things like Apple Music and iTunes is what helped Apple stay afloat in so many countries.
