BlackBerry KEY2 LE has been launched by BlackBerry as a watered-down variant of the KEY2 LE for those who won’t be able to afford the KEY2 LE. The Key 2 was regarded as over-priced by the Android community.
Well, BlackBerry has released the KEY2 LE with Snapdragon 636 instead of the 660 on the first version. It comes in two storage variants as well, there’s one with 32GB and another with 64GB. Let’s find out more.

Design And Display
From afar, you won’t be able to differentiate the difference, they both look alike with the plastic back and aluminium frame. Of course, the BlackBerry logo sits pretty at the middle.
While the dual rear camera is seen at the top left corner in a horizontal position, same with the LED flash. The device is quite bulky measuring 8.4 mm in thickness but weighs 156g overall. You should get it in Slate, Champagne and Atomic colours.
The iconic keyboard is still pretty much present, leaving room for a small screen at the top. The space bar also doubles as a fingerprint scanner as well. The 4.5-inch FHD IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen is sharp enough for visuals. It has a resolution of 1080 x 1620 pixels and 434 pixels per inch density. The screen also stretches up to 55.6% screen-to-body ratio.
Hardware and Software
Doing the work underneath is the Snapdragon 636 chip, it was built on an older 14nm process technology but comes with 8-cores of processor clocking at 1.8GHz. In the graphics department, the Adreno 509 graphics card controls graphics.
For multitasking, you get 4GB of RAM space to do the job. In the storage department, there are two variants, a standard version with 64GB and a cheaper variant with 32GB. They both run on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box as well.
Camera And Connectivity
The KEY2 LE is equipped with dual 13MP + 5MP rear camera with f/2.2 + f/2.4 aperture respectively. The main camera has a pixel size of 1.12 μm, 1/3.1″ sensor size and a LED flash. While the selfie camera is pegged at 8MP with f/2.0 aperture.
The KEY2 LE supports 4G LTE connectivity and accommodates dual Nano SIMs. It also has support for Bluetooth 5.0, 3.5mm jack, USB Type C, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Hotspot and A-GPS, GLONASS.
Battery And Availability
The BlackBerry KEY2 LE is powered by a non-removable 3000mAh battery with fast charging technology. BlackBerry KEY2 LE will be available on shopping stores, starting from $399 to $449, that’s about (N120,000 – N140,000).
