BLU Bold N1 Specs, Features and Price

Bold N1 is BLU’s attempt at trying to bring down most of the flagship specs and features to the mid-range price point and it looks like they nailed it.

Bold N1 spots an all-screen 6.4-inch display with no notch, a Mediatek Helio P70 SoC, 4GB of RAM, 128GB of expandable storage and a 3,500mAh which has an 18W fast charging.

It also has an in-display fingerprint sensor, dual rear camera, a motorized Pop-up selfie camera and runs Android 9.0 Pie out of the box with Android 10 coming in the near future. All these and more for just $200 (approximately N70,000). Let’s see what else BLU Bold N1 has to offer.

Blu Bold N1

BLU Bold N1 has a corning gorilla glass 5 on its back and front with aluminium frame. The front glass is protecting the 6.4-inch AMOLED display with no notch and just a little bit of chin down at the bottom. On this device, The front-facing camera is being housed by a motorized pop-up compartment that comes up when the camera app is opened.

The 6.4-inch AMOLED display here uses the 19:9 aspect ratio, an FHD+ resolution with a pixel per inch density of 403 and fingerprint sensor underneath the display. At the back of the device are the dual-camera setup with an LED flash and of course, the Bold name written towards the bottom.

Overall, this device weighs 182grams, measures 8.6mm in thickness and comes in only one colour – Black. It also has a dual SIM card with a dedicated slot for a microSD card.

BLU Bold N1 Camera Review

BLU Bold N1 has a dual rear camera comprising of a 16MP main camera with an f/1.8 aperture and PDAF alongside a 5MP depth sensor camera with an f/2.2 aperture.

It has an LED flash to help with shots in low light, HDR for good dynamic range and panorama for those wide-angle shots. It can shoot 1080p videos at 30fps as well.

The selfie camera here is a 13MP shooter with an f/2.0 aperture held by a motorized pop compartment which can also shoot videos in 1080p at 30fps.

Hardware and Software

BLU Bold N1 uses a Mediatek Helio P70 SoC which has an octa-core processor clocked at 2.1GHz paired with a Mali-G72 MP3 GPU which handles graphics and games. It has 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

Storage here is expandable thanks to the dedicated microSD card slot available which can accommodate another 128GB of additional storage. There is also a dual SIM card slot on board too. It runs Android 9.0 Pie out of the box and is also going to receive Android 10 in the near future.

Battery and Connectivity

This device is packing a 3,500mAh battery capacity with support for an 18W fast battery charging through it’s USB Type-C port. It also comes with some software tweaks for better battery performance.

According to BLU, 10mins of charge can get you 25hours of standby time, 3hours of calling or 1.5hours of browsing. BLU Bold N1 also supports Qi wireless charging of up to 10W so there is that.

Other features of the BLU Bold N1 include 4G LTE connectivity, WiFi, WiFi hotspot, WiFi direct, GPS, FM radio, a 3.5mm jack and Bluetooth.
