Coolpad just added a new smartphone called Coolpad 8 to their portfolio of existing smartphones. This new smartphone was announced in China where it is set to go on sale pretty soon. The device comes with the normal features which includes a display with a notch, Triple camera setup and a hefty 4,000mAh batter capacity.

Coolpad 8 Design And Display

The device’s design is pretty good. The 3D aluminium back which looks like Glass brings out the two colours in Which the device come in – Black and Red – with some lines running across from top to bottom. The dual rear camera sits comfortably at the top left corner with the LED flash in between.

Coolpad 8 Camera Review

Coolpad 8 has a total of 3 cameras, two of which are located at the rear. The one at the front is an 8MP camera with f/2.2 aperture while the one at the back is combination of a 16MP main shooter accompanied by a 2MP depth sensor camera. The rear camera is equipped is dual-LED flash, AutoFocus and can record 1080p videos at 30fps.

Coolpad 8 Hardware and Software

MediaTek’s MT6750 chipset is the heart of this device with an 8 core processor clocked at 1.5GHz which is paired with a Mali-T860 MP2 GPU for gaming/graphics. There is 4GB of RAM for multitasking and 64GB of storage for files which can be expanded further via the MicroSD card slot, up to 128GB. This device runs Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box which is covered with Cool’s UI.

Battery & Network Connectivity

Powering the CoolPad 8 is a massive 4,000mAh battery with fast Charging. The device is also equipped with 4G LTE with support for VoLTE, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS and a USB Type-C port with support for USB On The Go.

Price And Availability

CoolPad will go on sale in china on December 10 with starting price of CNY 999 which is approximately $145.
