iTel A53 Price and Full Specifications Review

Itel A53 is the latest budget offering from Itel which comes with some pretty decent specifications given its price. For a price tag of just $69, the Itel A53 is sporting a 5.5-inch IPS LCD display with an old 16:9 aspect ratios, 1GB of RAM that runs Android 8.1 Oreo God Edition very well. There is also 16GB of expandable storage, dual rear cameras, a fingerprint sensor and a 2,400mAh battery capacity. Let’s dive a little bit deeper into its specifications.

iTel A53 Design And Display

Itel A53 has a pretty standard look for a smartphone with nothing exceptional. The 5.5-inch display uses the old 16:9 aspect ratio, leaving more than enough bezels at the top for the front facing camera which can also be used for Face Unlock. There is also an equal amount of bezel at the bottom.

At the back of the device sits the dual rear cameras, LED flash and a yet another secondary Biometric verification means – fingerprint sensor. The body of the device is made of premium plastic and comes in colours Aqua Blue, Champagne Gold, Deep Grey and Red. It weighs 163grams and measures 8.5mm in thickness. There is also a dual SIM card slot and a dedicated MicroSD card slot for storage expansion.

At the back of the device is the main 8MP shooters accompanied by a secondary 0.8MP rear camera for portrait mode photos. It also has an LED flash for low light scenes. Other features of the rear camera include PDAF, HDR and the ability to shoot 720p videos at 30fps. The single 5MP front-facing camera for selfies also has an LED flash, HDR, Face beauty and Face Unlock.

Hardware and Software

Doing most of the work on the inside is the MediaTek MT6580 SoC which has 4 cores clocked at 1.3GHz and a Mali-400MP2 GPU for gaming. It has 1GB of RAM that runs the Android 8.1 Oreo Go Edition very well. Obviously, the Android 8.1 Oreo Go Edition will be covered with Itel’s UI. Storage here stands at 16GB and can be expanded up to an additional 32GB via the onboard dedicated microSD card slot.

Battery & Network Connectivity

A 2,400mAh battery powers this device with no fast charging capabilities. Talking about Charging, it is done through the microUSB port and can also be used to transfer files. There is also no 4G LTE connectivity here however, there is WiFi, WiFi hotspot, WiFi direct, GPS, Bluetooth and a 3.5mm jack.

Itel A53 has a price tag of $69 which is approximately N25,000. It is yet to hit the shelves but will do anytime soon.
