Itel P15 is a cheap entry-level Android Go smartphone from itel with a price tag of about $63 which is roughly about N23,000. For that price, you’ll be getting a smartphone with a 5.0-inch display, a Mediatek MT6580A SoC with 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage and of course, runs Android 9.0 Pie Go Edition out of the box.
It also has a dual rear camera setup, one selfie camera, a 4,000mAh battery capacity and surprisingly, a fingerprint sensor at the rear for biometric Unlock. Let’s see what else comes in the itel P15 package.

Itel P15 Design And Display
At the front of the itel P15 smartphone lies the display; a 5.0-inch IPS LCD display using am 18:9 aspect ratios with a screen resolution of 480 x 854 and a pixel per inch density of 219. The huge bezels at the top house the front-facing camera alongside it’s LED flash while the bottom bezel houses the navigation buttons.
Flipping the device on its back reveals the plastic back, on which the fingerprint and dual rear camera setup are located at the centre and top left. Towards the bottom lies the itel logo. Overall, the device weighs about 123grams despite the big battery on the inside and measures 8.3mm in thickness.
As for the colour options, you have three to choose from which are Elegant Blue, Midnight Black and Champagne Gold, all of which look very good. This device also has a dual SIM card slot along with a dedicated microSD card slot for additional storage.
Itel P15 Camera Review
Itel P15 is packed with three cameras, two of which are at the rear. Speaking of the rear camera, it consists of a main 5MP sensor and accompanied by a secondary 0.3MP Sensor along with an LED flash for taking shots in low light. The rear camera is also capable of shooting 720p videos at 30fps.
The single front-facing 2MP camera also has an LED flash with face unlock and face Beauty to make your face pop. Video recording capabilities for the front-facing camera isn’t specified.
Hardware and Software
Inside the itel P15 smartphone is the Mediatek MT6580A SoC which is a Chipset with a Quad-Core processor clocked at 1.3GHz paired with a Mali-400MP2 GPU for graphics as well as games. This is hooked up to 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage.
More storage can be added via the dedicated microSD card slot which is available on the itel P15. This microSD card slot can accommodate up to 32GB of additional storage. As expected, it runs the Go Edition of Android 9.0 Pie out of the box with itel skin slapped on top of that.
Battery and Connectivity
A 4,000mAh battery on the inside of this device stores power. There is no fast charging here although that is to be expected. Charging as well as file transfer is done through a MicroUSB port.
Unfortunately, there is no 4G LTE connectivity on this device. However, there is Bluetooth, WiFi, WiFi hotspot, GPS, FM radio and a 3.5mm jack.
