Samsung Galaxy J4 Plus Full Specs, Review and Price

Samsung Galaxy J4 Plus was quietly introduced today as the upgraded variant of the Galaxy J4 smartphone which was introduced a couple of months ago.

Samsung is trying to keep up with competition both in the budget and mid-range segments. The J4 Plus is powered by the Snapdragon 425 and sports full view display.

Design And Display

The Galaxy J4 Plus has a Plastic body, the back is pretty plain with not too much rear features. It sports a rear camera at the top middle, while the LED flash sits by the side. It will be available in Black, Gold and Pink.

Of course, the Samsung logo is visible in the middle as well. Turning to the sides, there’s the power button, fingerprint scanner and volume keys. It measures 7.9mm in thickness and weighs 178g.

The phone is built around a full view display, the top and bottom bezels are pretty thick as usual. This further proves that Samsung isn’t interested in the notch display. It sports a tall 6-inch HD+ IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 720 x 1480 pixels and 274 pixels per inch density for clear visuals. The screen also stretches up to 74.09% screen-to-body ratio.

Hardware and Software

The Snapdragon 425 budget chip takes control here. The Chip comes with its 4-cores of processor reaching a clock speed of up to 1.4GHz. In the graphics department, the Adreno 512 graphics processor takes charge.

There are two variants in terms of RAM space and storage, there’s one with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage and a cheaper variant with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage. It runs on the latest Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box.

Camera, Network And Connectivity

It’s equipped with a 13MP rear camera which has f/1.9 aperture for better lighting and improved photographs. While the 5MP selfie shooter has f/2.2 aperture for taking cute selfies.

The Galaxy J4 Plus supports 4G LTE connectivity and accommodates dual Nano SIMs. It also has support for Bluetooth 4.2, USB Type C, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Hotspot and A-GPS, GLONASS.

Battery, Price And Availability

The Samsung Galaxy J4 Plus is powered by a non-removable 3300mAh battery with no fast charging technology. Samsung Galaxy J4 Plus will be available on shopping stores, starting from $199 to $249, that’s about (N70,000 – N85,000).
