Apple has announced the fifth-generation Apple iPad Air, in addition to the new iPhone SE and other products announced at the “Peek Performance” launch event. The new Apple iPad Air has the same design as its predecessor, but it now has upgraded internal components and 5G connectivity. In this post we will be taking a look at what this new device from Apple has to offer.
New iPad Air Specifications
The new iPad Air has a 10.9-inch Liquid Retina Display with a peak brightness of 500 nits and HDR support, according to Apple. Also, because Apple hasn’t mentioned ProMotion, it has a normal refresh rate. P3 wide color gamut, True Tone, and an anti-reflective screen coating are also included.
The device is powered by Apple Silicon’s M1 processor on the inside. This is the same chip that powers the new iPad Pro and was first introduced in Mac products. The processor has an 8-core CPU and is said to be 60% faster than the A14 Bionic used in the previous iPad Air generation.
On the back, we have a 12-megapixel camera sensor, which is the same as its predecessor. On the front, the camera sensor has been upgraded to 12-megapixels, and it now supports Apple’s Centre Stage feature.
The tablet’s power button also houses a Touch ID biometric authentication sensor, which is located at the top of the device. It also includes stereo speakers with a landscape view. There’s also a USB Type-C port with 10Gbps data transfers.
Apple Pencil, Magic Keyboard, Smart Keyboard Folio, and Smart Folio covers are all compatible with this iPad Air, just like they were with the previous generation.
New iPad Air Price
Space Grey, Starlight, Pink, Blue, and Purple are the colors available for the Apple iPad Air. The base model, which has Wi-Fi-only connectivity and 64GB of internal storage, starts at $599. A 256GB internal storage model and a 5G connectivity model are also available from the company.
