Meizu has released a new flagship device - Meizu 16T. This will be the company's second high-end device, which comes barely 3 months after the "Meizu 16s Pro". The flagship sports a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED display with no notch or punch-hole. The device manages to retain a thin bezel at the top, which is home to the selfie camera, earpiece and other necessary sensors. The display features 1080 x 2232 pixels resolution, 18.5:9 aspect ratio and 382 PPI density. The fingerprint reader is placed underneath the OLED display. Under the hood of the Meizu 16T is Snapdragon 855 SoC. The Meizu 16s Pro features a Snapdragon 855+ chip but the device is a little expensive compared to the 16T. The SD 855 on the Meizu 16T is paired with either a 6GB or 8GB RAM. There is no microSD slot, and storage options available are 128GB and 256GB UFS3.0. The Meizu 16T runs on the company's Flyme 8.0 on top of Android 9 Pie. The camera setup of the Meizu 16T isn't extraordinary and honestly, we weren't expecting it to be. The device sports a camera module consisting of a 12MP f/1.9 wide sensor, an 8MP f/2.2 ultrawide sensor and a 5MP f/1.9 depth sensor. This setup is capable of recording 4K resolution videos at 30 and 60 frames per second (FPS). Upfront, we have a 16MP selfie camera with f/2.2 aperture. Battery-wise, the device packs a huge 4,500 mAh battery and supports fast charging (18W mCharge). It comes in the following body colour options; Orange, Blue, and Green. The 6GB/128GB base model of the device costs $280. The 8GB/128GB model comes in at $320. While the top-spec (8GB/256GB) goes for $350. The device is available on the Meizu official store for the Chinese market. No official words if and when it will be made available for other markets.
