YouTube Music was introduced by Google weeks ago, as a platform that puts music tracks and YouTube's huge collection of music-related videos ( like music videos, covers, live music etc.) all in one app. But until now, the app isn't available on shopping stores yet. The questions on everyone lips me is what will happen to Play Music and YouTube Red? Well, we know that Google Play Music subscribers will get YouTube Music’s premium privileges. But we have to keep in mind that Google Play Music subscribers already have access to YouTube Red and vice versa. So if you have any of the abovementioned subscriptions, chances are, you might get to access YouTube Music Premium for free. According to Google, if you’re already a Google Play Music subscriber, you’ll get YouTube Red (soon to be YouTube Premium) along with YouTube Music Premium. As confusing as that is, it's pure logic. If you're an existing Google Play Music or YouTube Red/Premium subscriber, you'll be getting both Premium and Music Premium at no extra cost. This means Google is still sticking to integrating all their services as one. If you want access to YouTube Red/Premium, it's just $2 more a month. Although if you're a Google Play Music subscriber, and your region doesn't support YouTube Red/Premium yet, you have to wait till it does to be able to access it for free. What's YouTube Red? YouTube Red offer users an ad-free playback across the entire YouTube network. This means all those annoying ads won't play before watching any video and all those ads embedded into videos will cease to exist as well. You'll also get offline downloads and background playback. What's YouTube Music? Now that we know what YouTube Red is, let's find out about YouTube Music when the company has Google Play Music. YouTube Music is all about music tracks, YouTube videos, and some of YouTube Red’s features. Now YouTube lovers don't have to open another app (Google Play Music) to listen to music. You can now do all that on YouTube Music. YouTube Music is available for free, of course with a few ads. But the Premium version with no ads, offline downloads and background playback would set you back $9.99 a month. This will certainly compete against top music apps like Spotify. Features of YouTube Music YouTube Music is a new music streaming service from YouTube and comes loaded with a lot of features that promises to serve you official releases from your favourite artists. You can also download your favourite music. What's YouTube Music Availability? YouTube Music will debut in the U.S., Australia, New Zealand, Mexico and South Korea first. Then after a few weeks, it will be available in Austria, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Norway, Russia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the U.K. It will be available globally in the coming month. Where to Download YouTube Music? YouTube Music is available on Google Play store for download but like I said, it is not available in all countries yet. We don't know for sure, but as of the time of writing this article, Google Play Music is still a thing of course. We know Google Play Music subscribers will get YouTube Music as part of their existing subscription.
