Oppo A7X has been introduced as the bigger sibling of the Oppo F9 that literally shut down the internet days ago. The A7x is rumoured to be the Realme 2 Pro when it launches in India later on.

The new device sports the trendy water-drop display and dual rear camera. You also get a bigger 128GB storage space on the A7x for storing more files with just 4GB of RAM. Lets find out more.

Design And Display

The A7x looks almost identical to the Oppo F9, it also has the same camera positioning and rear fingerprint scanner. It has an aluminium alloy overall Diamond Pattern body.

Although it’s available in different colors compared to the Oppo F9. Furthermore, it has the same diamond pattern and gradient paint job. The device measures 8mm in thickness and weighs 169g overall.

Turning to the front, you will be greeted by the water-drop display. There’s a small notch dedicated to the selfie camera as well. While the bottom chin is super minimal and almost non-existent. It sports a tall 6.3-inch FHD+ IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels and 409 pixels per inch density for sharp visuals. The screen also stretches up to 84% screen-to-body ratio.

Hardware and Software

The Helio P60 chip runs the show underneath, it was built on a 12nm process technology and comes with an octa-core processor clocking at 2.0GHz as well and ready to handle tasks. Controlling graphics is the Mali-G72 MP3 graphics card.

There’s a standard 4GB of RAM space available for multitasking through apps. While in the storage department, you get a bigger 128GB storage space with an option to upgrade up to 256GB using a memory card. It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with ColorOS 5.2.

Camera, Network And Connectivity

It sports dual 16MP + 2MP rear shooter with f/1.8 + f/2.4 aperture respectively. The main 16MP rear camera has 1/3.1 sensor size, 1.0µm pixel size with PDAF. There’s another 16MP selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture.

The A7x supports 4G LTE connectivity and accommodates dual Nano SIMs and a microSD card. It also has support for Bluetooth 4.2, USB Type C, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Hotspot and A-GPS, GLONASS.

Battery, Price And Availability

The Oppo A7x is powered by a non-removable 3500mAh battery with fast charging technology. Oppo A7x will be available on shopping stores, starting from $299 to $399, that’s about (N100,000 – N140,000).
