Qualcomm Announces Snapdragon X75 & X72 for the Future of 5G

Qualcomm announced its new Snapdragon X75 modem for vehicles, PCs, and Industrial IoT, and the Snapdragon X2 for mobile devices. The chipsets support 5G, and they are tagged as “the next phase of 5G by Qualcomm”

Both chips have 10 carrier aggregations and support 10Gbps downlink in Wi-Fi 7 and 5G. They both use a new architecture with a new QTM565 mmWave antenna module. It reduces cost, board complexity, hardware footprint, and energy consumption. The battery life is also extended by Qualcomm 5G PowerSave Gen 4 and Qualcomm RF Power Efficiency Suite.

Commercial devices using the new chipsets are expected to launch before the end of 2023.
