Xiaomi’s Redmi brand is gearing up to introduce a new budget smartphone, the Redmi 14C, set to launch in Vietnam on August 31. Ahead of its official unveiling, key specifications have already surfaced via a Vietnamese retailer.
In line with Redmi’s tradition of refreshing its designs, the Redmi 14C showcases a new look. It features a large circular camera module on the back, a notable departure from its predecessor. The design bears a closer resemblance to the Oppo F27 5G, recently launched in India.
The 14C’s Blue variant boasts a gradient finish, lending it a premium appearance despite its budget status. However, the device’s pricing is expected to remain within the affordable range.
The rear camera setup includes four rings: one for the 50-megapixel main sensor, another likely for depth sensing, and a third for the LED flash, while the fourth is purely decorative.
In addition to Blue, the Redmi 14C will be available in Green, with a vegan leather finish, and a classic Black option.
On the front, the Redmi 14C is equipped with a 6.88-inch LCD display featuring HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. Powering the device is a 5,160mAh battery, though fast charging is limited to 18W. For security, the phone includes a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
While the retailer listing did not specify the processor, rumors suggest it could be powered by the MediaTek Helio G91 Ultra. Confirmed storage options include 4GB of RAM with 128GB of storage or 8GB of RAM with 128GB of storage.
Pricing details remain under wraps, but the Redmi 14C is expected to be an affordable addition to Xiaomi’s budget lineup. Full pricing and availability will be revealed during the official launch event on August 31.
