Infinix has officially confirmed the launch of its Infinix Hot 50 5G smartphone in India, scheduled for September 6. A dedicated microsite has gone live, showcasing both the design and key specifications of the device ahead of its release.
The Hot 50 5G departs from the iPhone-like camera design seen in its predecessor, the Hot 40 series. Instead, it features a vertically aligned camera island. Up front, the device boasts a punch-hole display with wet-touch support, allowing users to operate the screen even with damp fingers.
The top of the device is minimalistic, while the left side houses a SIM slot. A side-mounted fingerprint sensor can be seen, though the bottom edge remains under wraps. The phone is rated IP54 for dust and water resistance and will come in three color options: black, blue, and green.
Under the hood, the Infinix Hot 50 5G will be powered by the Dimensity 6300 chipset, suggesting it will be priced affordably, potentially around Rs 12,000. It will offer two RAM options: 4 GB and 8 GB, both paired with 128 GB of UFS 2.2 storage. While details about the battery remain undisclosed, the company has confirmed the device will have a slim profile of 7.8mm.
Other specifications of the Hot 50 5G are still unknown. However, earlier reports indicate that the series will include several models, such as the Hot 50 (X6882), Hot 50 Pro (X6881), Hot 50 Pro+ (X6880), Hot 50 5G (X6720), and Hot 50i (X6531).
