There are rumors that Samsung might be working on another foldable device that is not a phone. A Samsung executive has confirmed that the company is working on a new foldable tablet and even shared some of the design elements of the tablet.
Samsung Galaxy Foldable Tablets What we know so Far
The details of the foldable tablet arrived from Samsung mobile head T.M Roh. In an interview with the Independent last month, the official confirmed that they are working on foldable tablets alongside foldable laptops. He said, “People Open books to read and notebooks to write something. When not used or on the move, they can be folded shut, making them more compact and durable and protecting important information. It’s just a natural part of human behavior”.
He added that “what has been applied to the smartphone will also spread to the tablet and laptops. To that end, we at Samsung are investing many resources.” This confirms that the Tech giants are working on foldable tablets and laptops and investing heavily in that space. There has been the ASUS Zenbook 17 Fold OLED, which might be what the upcoming Samsung foldable will compete with.
There were rumors earlier about a foldable tablet from Samsung with the name Samsung Galaxy Z Fold Tab model. Even patents from LetsGoDigital elaborated the foldable tablet with two hinges for folding mechanics.
