Google is rolling out a new AI feature in Chrome for mobile phones to improve user experience. The new search generative experience will help you summarize articles the articles you search online.
They announced the SGE recently and said it could summarize your search results. You don’t have to read through a complete article; SGE will summarize the content into short paragraphs with details about the entire content. The new feature is an experiment into what a search might look like. Google is finding ways to add more functionalities to SGE beyond summarizing content.
You can start using the future by opting into the search lab program. The company will make it available for Android and IOS users on the Google app on their app. They are also working on bringing it to the Chrome browser on PC and Desktop in a few days. The new feature uses AI to generate key points from an article after you tap the icon at the bottom of your screen.
The feature will be available on articles that are free for the general public. Articles hidden behind paywalls won’t have access to the feature. The CEO also stated that users that have tested the AI in BETA have given positive feedback, and he also added that it is the future of how search will work over the following years.
