Tecno is gearing up to introduce its latest foldable and flip smartphones, the Phantom V Fold 2 5G and V Flip 2 5G, in Ghana. According to an official poster, Tecno Ghana will begin accepting pre-orders for these devices from August 19 to August 24.
Customers who pre-order either the Phantom V Fold 2 or V Flip 2 during this period will receive a package of complimentary items valued at GHS 3,000 (approximately $193). The package includes a gift box containing a Bluetooth speaker and flask, a travel bag, and a Watch 3. Additionally, buyers will benefit from 15 GB of MTN data valid for six months, 180 days of screen insurance, and an extended warranty of 12+1 months.
While Tecno has not yet disclosed the full technical specifications for the new devices, the Phantom V Fold 2 is expected to feature a rectangular camera module housing a 50-megapixel triple camera system with an LED flash. It also includes a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and is likely to support a stylus, offering enhanced functionality compared to its predecessor.
The Phantom V Flip 2, Tecno’s second-generation flip-style foldable phone, will come with a larger cover screen, resembling the 3.6-inch outer display of Motorola’s Razr 50, an upgrade from the original Flip’s smartwatch-like secondary display.
Industry sources suggest that the Phantom V Fold 2 will be powered by the Dimensity 9000 Plus chipset, while the Phantom V Flip 2 will run on the Dimensity 8050 chipset. Both devices have also received approval from India’s BIS authority, indicating that they will be available in the Indian market as well.
