Foldable smartphones have been gaining ground over the last few years despite being expensive. Tecno released their first foldable phone, the Phantom V Fold, which cost almost 50% cheaper than the most expensive foldable phone, the Galaxy Z Fold 5. The brand will release its second foldable, the Phantom V Flip 5G.
Prominent Leak star Parag Guglani revealed images and specifications of the upcoming device. Unlike what we have seen, the device brings a unique approach to the cover display. It is a circular cover display with an outer circle carrying the cameras.
Tecno Phantom V Flip Specs
The outer display is 1.3 inch AMOLED with 466 x 466 resolution. The inner display is 6.9 inches and AMOLED with a 120Hz refresh rate. It will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8050 with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. The phone has a 64MP primary camera and a 13MP sensor. There is going to be a 32MP selfie camera on the phone.
The flip phone’s battery is around 4000mAh, and it will run on Android 13 out of the box. There are rumors that Tecno is working on a Dynamic Port feature that might be available on their following devices. According to the leak star, it will be available in White, Purple, and Black.
The phone supports 15 different 5G bands, and we will see official teasers of the device next month. Tecno is expected to launch the device in October.
