The POP 9 series aims to enhance Tecno’s presence in the affordable segment. The POP 9 4G is expected to mirror the specifications of its predecessor, the POP 8, which featured a Unisoc T606 processor. Details on the POP 9 4G’s exact specs are not yet confirmed, but it is anticipated to follow a similar configuration.
In contrast, the POP 9 5G is anticipated to offer a more advanced experience with 5G connectivity. While the specific 5G processor remains undisclosed, the model number for the POP 9 5G is KL8, compared to KL4 for the POP 9 4G.
The Tecno POP 8 was announced in October 2023, leading to speculation that the POP 9 series might debut in October 2024. However, no official launch date has been confirmed yet.
