TECNO Pouvoir 3 Air is the newest smartphone from TECNO and the latest in line in the Pouvoir series. The device was announced as part of the Pouvoir 3 and Pouvoir 3 Plus Series

As expected from any Pouvoir smartphone, this TECNO Pouvoir 3 Air keeps the traditional 5,000mAh present in all other Pouvoir devices.

However, other specs of the device have been toned down in order to hit that lower price point.

It has a 6.0-inch display, 1GB RAM with 16GB of internal storage, a single front-facing and rear-facing camera, fingerprint sensor, and face unlocking and runs Android 9.0 Pie Go edition. Let’s find out more.

TECNO Pouvoir 3 Air Design And Display

The new TECNO Pouvoir 3 Air has a 6.0-inch IPS LCD display with a 960 x 480 screen resolution and a 16:9 aspect ratio with obviously big bezels at the top and bottom.

A single front-facing camera sits comfortably at the top bezels with an LED flash while another single camera sits at the back with her another LED flash.

There is also a fingerprint sensor for biometric unlock. The back of the device is made of plastic and comes in different colours including Champagne Gold, Midnight Black and Aqua Blue.

It has a dual SIM card slot with support for 4G LTE with a separate dedicated MicroSD card slot for storage expansion of up to 128GB

Camera Review

A single 8MP shooter is at the back of the TECNO Pouvoir 3 Air with an LED flash for low-light shots.

For selfies, another 8MP camera takes the top bezel which can also be used for Face Unlock. The front-facing camera also comes with an LED flash for photos taken in low-light environments.

Hardware and Software

Pouvoir 3 Air uses a less powerful MediaTek Helio A22. A Quad-core processor clocked at 2.0GHz paired with a PowerVR GE8320 GPU.

This is connected to 1GB of RAM with 16GB of internal storage which is the only configuration available for this device. More storage can be added through the dedicated MicroSD card slot on board of up 128GB.

Given the 1GB of RAM, this device runs the Go Edition of the Android 9.0 Pie operating system with TECNO HiOS skin slapped on top.

Battery and Connectivity

The 5,000mAh battery here is perhaps the highlight of this device as it is said to last about 4days according to TECNO.

Unfortunately, there is no fast charging here. However, there is 4G LTE connectivity, Bluetooth, WiFi, WiFi hotspot, GPS and a micro USB port through which charging and file transfer are done.
