Xiaomi Mi A2

Xiaomi ditched the notch we saw on the Mi A2 Lite and went with the standard 18:9 aspect ratio screen on the Mi 6X. The screen stretches all the way to the sides, while the selfie camera, speaker grille and others sit on top.

The front is built around a 5.99-inch FHD+ IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen, this boasts of 1080 x 2160 pixels in resolution and 403 pixels per inch density for clear visuals. It stretches up to 77.4% screen-to-body ratio as well.

Hardware and Software

The Snapdragon 660 chip does the number crunching here with its 14nm process technology for improved power efficiency. It has an octa-core processor clocking at 2.2GHz, while the Qualcomm Adreno 512 dominates graphics.

There’s an expensive variant with 128GB storage and 6GB RAM for heavy users. Those on a budget can go for either the one with 4GB RAM/64GB storage or 4GB RAM/32GB storage. It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo (Stock Android).

Camera, Network And Connectivity

For photography, the 12MP + 20MP rear shooters have f/1.8 aperture respectively and can shoot 4K videos @30fps and 720p videos @120fps. While the 20MP selfie camera has f/2.2 aperture and a front LED flash.

The Mi A2 supports 4G LTE connectivity and accommodates dual Nano SIMs. It also has support for Bluetooth 4.2, 3.5mm jack, USB port, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Hotspot and A-GPS, GLONASS.

Battery, Price And Availability

The Xiaomi Mi A2 is powered by a non-removable Li-Ion 3000mAh battery with fast charging technology. Xiaomi Mi A2 will be available on shopping stores, starting from $299 to $349, that’s about (N100,000 – N120,000).
