Samsung is going with a different approach to the naming of their flagship device. A new decade births the Samsung Galaxy S20 which debuts with the Galaxy S20+ and Galaxy S20 Ultra. Just like its predecessor, the Galaxy S10, Samsung is going big on the camera department here. Samsung Galaxy S20 The Samsung Galaxy S20 comes with a 6.2-inch display that features a 120Hz refresh rate, 1440p+ resolution and 20:9 aspect ratio. The fingerprint reader is featured underneath the display. The display has a punch-hole at the top centre which houses a 10MP selfie camera, which is is the same on the Galaxy S10. At the back, the camera module features a 12MP main camera, a 64MP telephoto camera with 8K resolution capability and a 12MP ultrawide camera. This flagship device is powered by either the Snapdragon 865 or Exynos 990 chip based on market/region. The chip is coupled with an 8GB or 12GB RAM and storage size of 128GB. Additional storage is possible via microSD slot. Battery capacity is 4,000 mAh with 25W fast charging support. The Galaxy S20 comes in Cosmic Cray, Cloud Pink and Cloud Blue. The base model (8/128GB) goes for €900/$1,005. There is a 5G model for the Galaxy S20 and will cost €1,000/$999. Pre-order starts February 11 while shipping commences March 13. Samsung Galaxy S20+ The Samsung Galaxy S20+ features a display panel size of 6.7-inch which is 0.5-inch bigger than the Galaxy S20. The Dynamic AMOLED display features 1440p+ resolution, 20:9 aspect ratio, 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sensing. There is a total of four cameras at the back of the Galaxy S20+. The main camera features a 12MP lens with f/1.8 aperture and optical image stabilization (OIS). The telephoto camera features a 64MP lens with 3x hybrid zoom, 30x Super-Resolution Zoom, OIS and f/2.0 aperture. This 64MP lens is capable of recording 8K resolution videos. The third camera features a 12MP ultrawide lens with 120° Field of View. Then we have the fourth and final camera which is called "DepthVision Camera" for depth-based effects and portrait shots. Just like the Galaxy S20, this device is powered by either the Snapdragon 865 or Exynos 990 chipset. The chip you get depends on the region/market the phone is purchased from. It comes with a 5G connectivity by default. The base model has 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. The microSD slot can take cards up to 1TB. The phone packs a 4,500 mAh and supports 25W wired fast charging and 15W wireless fast charging. The Galaxy 20+ will be available in three body colours; Cloud Blue, Cosmic Black and Cosmic Gray. The base configuration of 8/128GB will start at €1,100/$1,199.
