There have been concrete reports that Tecno is working on a flip phone. It is called the Tecno Phantom V Flip and is expected to be released before the end of the month. The Phantom V Flip will be the company’s first clamshell phone with an outer display. There has been a leaked image that highlights the outer display closer than ever.
The phone has a circular module with two cameras and an LED light. We have the outer display inside the camera ring. The leak also suggests the phone is inside a textured cover and the back. It looks like the case that came with the Tecno Phantom V Fold. There are no official specs yet, but in a previous rumor, we saw that the Google Play console had certified the phone.
Tecno Phantom V Flip Specs
The phone is expected to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8050 with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage space. It will ship with a 4000mAh battery and support 66 watts of fast charging. The Phantom V Flip will have a 6.75-inch Foldable AMOLED display with a 1080p resolution and 144Hz refresh rate. There will be a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for security.
The phone is also expected to come with a 32MP inner selfie camera and a 64MP primary camera at the back. A 13MP ultra-wide camera will also be at the back to support the primary camera. It will debut with Android 13 and HiOS 13. The phone will support 5G connectivity, Dual SIM, and Bluetooth 5.3, among others.
